Comet Atlas over Green Hills

Robyn MacRae is an Australian photographic artist and Churchill Fellow based in Tumut, NSW, where her practice spans freelance work, personal projects, and education. With a migrant heritage, her work often explores ideas of place, connections to homelands, the impact of humanity on the natural world, and diverse representations of beauty within contemporary Australian society.

Her work has been exhibited in group exhibitions at the Head On Photo Festival, the National Portrait Gallery, Perc Tucker Regional Gallery, Casula Powerhouse Arts Centre, Tweed Regional Gallery, Sydney Opera House, the State Library of New South Wales, and the Ballarat International Foto Biennale, among others. As a Churchill Fellow, she also researches the positive effects of photographic practice on the educational and sociological outcomes of at-risk youth in regional areas.
