Description

High above Manhattan, visitors wander a mirrored observatory where skyline and self blur into one. The Empire State Building anchors the horizon, but inside, the city multiplies - fragmented, refracted, and reimagined - turning every glance into a kaleidoscope of modern life.

Kelly Conlin’s work explores atmosphere, proximity, and the subtle human dynamics that shape everyday life. After a long magazine publishing career, he returned to photography in 2023, seeking a slower and more attentive way of moving through the world.

He first discovered photography as a teen, borrowing his father’s Kodak Retinette and building a darkroom in the family basement. He worked as a journalist before moving into international publishing, which led him across continents, immersing him in diverse cultures and communities.

Exhibited across the USA, India, Europe, and Australia, Leica Fotografie International recognised him as ‘Mastershots.’ He has won in international photography awards and has been a finalist in European and Australian street photography festivals.
